Having played ball sports most my younger life, I took up the endurance game in 2007 when my father fell ill with cancer. The sadness of dad’s poor health turned my attentions to fundraising and what better way than doing so in a world of sport that I didn’t really know existed. I was fortunate enough, save for one serious cycling accident, to spend a decade racing over the globe in various Ironman and multi sport endurance events both raising money and challenging myself always to “get the job done”.

I am proud to be part of team This Way Up and I feel grateful and fortunate to represent my company, my friends, my team and importantly my mum and my sister in this challenge. We are fundraising for two relevant charities in Macmillan and Mind and for me there is no greater honour than to help benefit and hopefully save lives when doing so in the memory of those who have fallen.
